I'm trying to load Telkom's own ****ing website to see prices, and it won't load.

I think you're having more problems than most people are... Can you post your usage statistics (GB downloaded/TITracker), tracerts to international and local servers, and speed tests? Does the Telkom guest account/Afrihost free 1GB have the same problems? What DNS are you using? Can you post line router stats too.

I'm *up to here* with running tests.

Aside from all the various things I've posted in the thread, I can assure you that the Afrihost capped bandwidth is absolutely fine, I am in fact using them right now.

Game latency is perfect, torrents go at line speed instantly, and everything is just hunky dory. My line stats are fine and I've tested various DNS setups during this saga.

Sorry, I didn't mean to jump down your throat, but you don't understand just how much stuff I've been testing, screen-shotting, speed-testing and troubleshooting (in the thread, in PM's and to the call centre).

I've had it.

Investigating a move to AH business now.

I want to be shot of this festering gag-fest of a company ASAP.
 
Afrihost business is not much better, just read the feedback thread, it's like dealing with Telkom, you wait days for a response, only to get questions,which you answer, and you wait days again. Waiting for a refund from them now.
 
Speed test and all shows I'm running at max, but my P2P are slow as hell. TI clearly killing P2P downloads. Last day on TI tomorrow and the I need to find a new ISP

Don't worry, I understand your frustration. It's just very possible that the reason your are lagging is due to bad routing or a node in the route. The fact that Afrihost is fine (which uses MTN) looks like a strong indicator to that being the issue.
Looking at your profile posts, I can't see any tracerts, just speed tests which all seem fine (because the routing to those speedtest servers are probably okay).
 
Sorry, but I'm so pissed now, at this, which now is probably the third day in a row, that this is occurring.

What the actual F is going on, coupled with the radio darkness this must be a marketing departments' worst nightmare, considering that, when a customer defects to the competition, is much harder to get back them back as a customer!

And I will be defecting soon at this rate.

Well, it was dead in the water, earlier this afternoon, now it is working again - no ways, this makes any form of sense. SIGH
 
Counting the days till the end of the month, them im free of Telkom and this ***.
 
so...my Telkom bill (voice and adsl line 1MB rental and ISP 1MB account) has always been R523 (few rand more than what was initially advertised but I get the need to be dishonest from Telkom).

This month its R550? Any idea why? Prices gone up?

I have the same question.
My bill was R501.25 and now it is R568.01.
Surely you can't just raise the price without notifying your customer base?
And to make it worse we can't even use the line.

Check itemised billing and discounts to see what has changed (assuming it's not simply charges for calls).
 
Same issue here, i phoned them yesterday and the lady said it seems like they didn't include the discounts.
 
After 20 minutes waiting for a call centre consultant to take my call I get a bad attitude and the phone put down on me after I refuse to wait for someone to call me on the cancellation of my data on my telkom account. Been waiting since 12 Feb for some to contact me.
