Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

I would very much like some feedback, for the third time in 2 days.
 
Telkom has derailed. They are not capable of fixing their problems nor have they given any answers. Its been how long since this has started now? since Nov 2013?
On the other hand Afrihost is flying.
 
Well, not that there appears to be the slightest interest in retaining customers, but I've had enough, I think.

PM's are not answered, calls to the call-centre take 5 hours, and while my Telkom ISP account is utterly useless in just about every area, an alternative account works full line speed, all the time.

Latency is as high as 2 seconds in Path of Exile. With an alternative account, it's sub-200 ms.

This is getting really madding how does it help if my line syncs at 2 meg but i only get

Download Speed: 551 kbps (68.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 426 kbps (53.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

To CAPETOWN and i'm in Gordons bay.

Telkom you are losing the plot. These speeds have been going on for about 7 days now. It drops as low as 56k modem speeds and even lower. i havent seen it pulling data close to even 70% of my line speed once since we moved over to telkom :/

Really staring to feel that we made a mistake moving to Telkom tbh

Wish we could get some answers from telkom as to what they are doing to fix it.
 
It's very bad today. My results look like they've gone back to 384k instead of 2meg.

I see you are just a tiny bit ticked off at Telkom too Copa.

I reckon i should ask i could have my line downgraded to 384Kbps because that's the speed im getting on TELKOM.

From 4Mb to 2Mb to 384Kbps right now.

Im so pissed off im laughing like a madman.

I was also in the hysterical madman phase by the end of the call.
 
I would very much like some feedback on why my ping is sub 200 ms on an Afrihost account, but over up 2000 ms on my Telkom Internet account??!!

Multiple PM's since yesterday.
 
More, worries on my side here as well, Google Maps just refuses to load, can't open up a DropBox link to download some files, Google Play store downloads at the same speed the continents move at. urghhh....

I think it's quite clear by now that the telkom reps here have been gagged. Can't blame them as it comes from higher up.

I am most certainly not blaming the reps for anything. However, I am going to complain as loudly and as much as I can.

It's disgraceful.
 
Yoh. Hard to keep patient. Can someone please explain the point of the guest@telkomadsl feature?
Ran it a few seconds ago - and Speedtest is cruising along like I imagine in my dreams...

Does that tell me anything? What am I supposed to glean from knowing that the Guest account works like a dream, but my 4mb uncapped is as inconsistent as... as something terribly inconsistent...

Oh. Phoned 10210. But they can only help me set-up my internet. Not actually access my account to tell me what's wrong. Nope. Access denied. Account locked. Someone else needs to check tomorrow. FML.
