Yeah, something is wrong again, cant connect to some website, internet is generally slow as well.

It took about five minutes to post this, that's how long it took to open the edit box.

Games simply don't let you connect.

The internet is dead in the water.

My downloads are crawling. Erratic speeds getting 5-25KB/s. Seems to be back to where it was end January when it it was the same symptoms and it took weeks for Telkom to look into the problem.
 
Everything international is slow. Can't even stream on xbmc. Gaming has a lot of packet loss.
 
This is just BS. I'm getting tired of this.

I wonder why more people aren't complaining. Perhaps they are only throttling certain customers or maybe it's just Sunday and people are watching DSTV
 
Haven't had any problems on my side..Been gaming, watched a few videos on YouTube and downloaded about 4 movies, everything normal..

My line is outperforming anything at the moment.

Near full speed on P2P. Wish it would stay like this. Sunday afternoon was abysmal.
 
My line is brilliant during the day, but trash after 5/6pm and weekends apparently.

PM'd TelkomZA, still no response.

Sunday was bad for me too with slow speed and the odd disconnect.
I took a look at my line stats and my attenuation was at 20db (norm is 6.5db) and SNR at 8.5db (norm is 17db!
I logged a call and got a ref via SMS.

This afternoon Telkom came out and repaired the fault. Att is 6db and SNR is 20db.
Speedtest showing 3.55Mb and downloads are running full tilt again :D
Downloading via NNTP was flat lined at 430kB/s.
Test torrent was erratic running between 250 - 350kB/s

I pretty much have the same experience at the moment. I reckon it's due to network congestion. Most peoples' downloads finish by 8AM, then they're at work, and when they get home, they watch streams and download from about 5-6PM -- so it makes sense.
 
very weird file downloads wont go faster than 20-30k but nntp downloads go full speed
tried Afrihost account and 100 % full speed sigh
 
Literally no Telkom connection at all. Afrihost works just fine. I can ping on Telkom and tracert, but it doesn't load anything whatsoever. Best day to reinstall Windows ever!

Had the same problem and a port reset did the trick.

Might request one tomorrow. It seems to have come back online now, however it is slow as all hell. 0.5mbps. It's probably the rain. Hope it's fine in the morning.
