I suspect the IOS 8 update is having an effect on performance

Thanks for that info Ranger. Here in the Southern Cape the internet was badly affected last night. It was virtually impossible to download anything even between 12am and 6am. Must be a lot of Apple devices amongst the retired folk.![]()

Why wasn't TI prepared?iOS updates started taking up a significant portion of the total traffic from about 18h00 last night. Software updates usually run at about 2-3% of network traffic, last night it was running about 20% of the total traffic, more than video normally uses.

While I noticed browsing was a little slow last night iPlayer didn't skip a beat and I haven't seen any real bitching about TI performance today.Who says TI were not prepared? Or that they needed to be?

On top of the IOS update there's also a update of Elder Scrolls Online which is about 6 GBs that started on Monday night
