iOS updates seem to have used mote bandwidth last night than Wednesday night, with software updates peaking at 30% of traffic, where on Tuesday software updates peaked at 10% of traffic.
We had ordered additional IPC links for Cape Town amd Gauteng some time back intending them to be operational before the iOS8 release. The transmission for those links should be completed today, but it might take a bit longer until the IPC capacity can be provisioned, so probably not in time to alleviate the problems cause by iOS8.
Of course, this is a perfect use case for NightSurfer, especially for the guys on capped packages, but it seems too few of the Apple users have figured it out ...
