Anyone have any idea about this?
"You qualify for Telkom's free in home connectivity service, please send your name and @YES if you are interested or @NO if you are not interested"
From who, where?
I would ignore it.Was an sms I received a few minutes ago from telkom.
I would ignore it.
1. Replying is going to cost you money - unless it specifically states that the reply is free of charge. Why you say that?

2. Replying could see you being included on a spammer's database.
3. If it is indeed Telkom, that offer will be advertised in all main newspapers in the next few days.
4. If it is indeed Telkom, that offer will be reflected on their website in the next few days.
5. If you are an existing Telkom customer it will be emailed to you soon.
Thought it could be a fibre trial in our area as they have been busy for a few weeks now with the roll out.
So, after a few months of suffering in silence with erratic speeds on my 4mb Uncapped, I decided to move to the 2mb, 50gb capped option at R269pm. Decent deal from TI. I haven't been using too much data over the past 6 months, averaging around 30gb nowadays. It's working better than my 4mb did. Seamless streaming, regardless of the time of day, and just an all round better experience. Not sure if it was just me, because I haven't been keeping up to date on this thread to be honest, but I think capped is the way forward for me. I'll kill the heavy dl's during nightsurfer, like I'm about to now![]()

Liar!
How did you guys actually sign up to TI?
The order process on the website doesn't work -- there doesn't seem to be any way to get anything into my cart, so I can never complete the order process. This is on Chrome and IE11; switching IE compatibility mode on doesn't work either.
I tried falling back on the "contact me" option but nobody has contacted me.
Does TI not want my money?
ranger, I'm not sure where the Capped thread went, just to say that Telkom Internet Capped is working beautifully in the Cape.
