Yup can confirm all is fine here, just the mybb site itself hasn't been working properly this morning.
 
i have to say Telkom customer service is just amazeballs!

was having high pings of 2000+, crystal web said i should call Telkom and ask them to investigate.

here is where the customer service is awesome. i did not have to hold, not 1 sec. the message said there was high call volume (i rolled my eyes and said typical) and asked if i would still like to hold for a consultant which i selected. then immediately i got a real life human. i was flabergasted.

asked for a port reset and the guy said sure. there was no 15 step program to troubleshoot or anything! :)

awesome job, line is back to normal.

Constant time outs, cant go over 40kb/s and starts a day after i pay telkom, classic.

I am having no Problems in East London

my torrent that 1 connect seeder Ran Full speed

was running whole night with with 20 seeders ,Only picked up after night Surfer
Lots of my Downloads only pick up speed after night surfer time .
 
After load shedding Internet did not come backup - after 15 minutes, tried another router - still no go. Made use of the SMS reporting feature. 5 minutes later get reply - service restored. If not to phone 10210.

10 minutes later I phoned - held out for a real live operator. Was also flabbgastef when I got an operator almost immediately. Gave my details - was told that my exchange was down and they where working on it.

10 minutes later line came up ... , bit of a bugger all round, but still - was the fastest every that I got connected to an operator. Real nice!

Theres a telkom store near me but they usually just say "call the number". So I avoid those dudes to prevent frustration. Should I just phone telkom and get in the queue?

Want to test it out for a month or two as an additional account...

I tried it and also got only capped options, on that page with the capped options, product details & monthly costs look up a bit & to the right & click on the big blue bar that says "Uncapped ISP Accounts", voila you now have a list of uncapped packages.

Internet is completely ****ed.

Can't get more than 20kb/s on an http download.

Since you have high latency showing within the IPC network (this hop is on the IPC link on the IPC side, hop 4 is the first time we get your packet)
Access problem, either:
- Line quality issues (errors on the line), check your modem stats
- DSLAM congestion

There is nothing Telkom Internet can do about this (aka I can't help you, and any other ISP account will show problems at the same time your TI account shows problems).

Log a fault online, making it clear that it is DSLAM congestion (if you have ruled out line quality and/or filters etc.), but I am not sure that will lead to a quick resolution.

Had a technician come out to my house. He replaced the jack and repaired a couple of cables that were looking pretty old. Made no difference. I'm pretty sure my line is fine as my router stats are great (not sure how accurate that is though)

I'm fairly confident it's exchange congestion as my internet was perfect until there was a general traffic failure at the exchange. My internet has been *** ever since.

Logged numerous tickets to no avail. I just like bitching and moaning in here to vent.
