Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Seems like Telkom isn't prioritizing Traffic to Vessel. I'm buffering more than I'm watching videos at 480P on my 10Mb/s Uncapped account. Twitch performance is also not great. Couldn't even stream at medium quality without buffering this weekend.

Same

the whole weekend my ping was fine. Today from 7 - 9pm i have high latency with my telkom account :/ idk what to do anymore. I dont want to move ISP's because is the one that gives the least amount if issues but now its getting a little ridiculous :/

weekend was fine, my post above started after 17:00 last night

its clear the problem is ct1-pr-01-te0-0-0.net.telkomsa.net [105.187.249.138]

would be nice to get it working, i honestly think Ti is best, as I've been around the block, but this issue + gaming could be a swinger

Sweet mother of god, how bad does it have to get before the problem gets fixed?

I'm also concerned about the higher than normal latency on ipc-1-up.east.dsl.telkomsa.net

all i would like to know is if Telkom is aware of this issue and if they are working on it... At least if i know that then Ill stay and wait for the fix

Does anyone have more information on the Static IP's? Is this available to residential customers as well? What technologies does it use (L2TP)? And is it available without a contract?

ok so i am seriously puzzled at this. Latency is through the roof tonight. It's never been this bad.

Ok heres a screenie of my CS game:

Now here is a screenie of me doing a trace and pin to the server IP:

Ok heres the weird part... a screenie of a speed test to a CPT server:

No idea what to think...

I have a PS4 and can't play online. Been like this for the past few months. I tried BF Hardline and I'm stuck in the same place. It's like I'm on a treadmill or something.

ok this is ridiculous... im still lagging :/
I recommend you (and anyone with such an issue) email [email protected] and if they do not reply within 48 hours then PM TelkomZA with the ticket number to try get it prioritised. Complaining on a forum that is not monitored in an official capacity does not always help much.

A number of providers offer free 1gb accounts that are always good for these situations as you can switch to an account that does not have such issues in the interim. I would recommend you only use such accounts when you want to play games though since they have low caps.

I did just that... I've attached everything I could that should help them.

Last time i checked the topic here was "user feedback", so :wtf:

I'm aware of the fact that it's not monitored in an offical capacity, but trying to send out the message that traffic from DBN to CPT is affected, and so doing finding that the problem is wider than just one user.

and it's clear that the problem is ct1-pr-01-te0-0-0.net.telkomsa.net [105.187.249.138]

I've got multiple free 1GB accounts, and I use it solely for the purpose of backup, but this problem for a gamer like myself is that withiin in a week i've used up 3X1GB accounts, all working when gaming via CPT, but I CANNOT do the same on the service that I PAY for every month.

I've sent the mail, but not holding my breath.

*drops the mic and gets off stage

Got a response xD

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for emailing Telkom Internet Technical Support.

Your line seems to be syncing fine, what I have done for you is recreate the port. Please switch off the router for 10 minutes and reconnect. If the problem still persists please call 10210 option 1 and log a line fault.

Kind Regards
