Does telkom internet throttled torrents between 00:00 and 07:00, the past two days i was only able to download 500mb? I have not reached my cap.

Torrents only start getting going from about 1AM. Then they run full speed till about 7AM.

Past Month or so since we switched to the capped package, PSN among other services have been intermittent. Just the other day i was grabbing some games on the PS3 and they download at full speed [1.4MB/s] however the last 2 nights or so , the speed looks as if it is capped at 200KB/s. Very odd. I should note that speeds fluctuate whether it is during night-surfer or not.
As far as other iSPs, they have been slow but they gradually increase however i have not seen this kind of behaviour before for such a long period as it usually sorts itself out.
Anyone notice anything like this?
Browsing is also not as snappy as has always been my experience be it uncapped or not. It changes as if they are tweaking

Couldn't find another Telkom ISP feedsback thread.
Signed up for the nightsurfer account with zero rated downloads between 00:00 and 07:00 - I got softcapped a day ago.
Bought another 10GB for R99 yesterday, was out the entire day - this morning it was gone... according to the Saix tracker I used 14GB yesterday... according to Networx I used 128Mb after 07:00 yesterday morning, and a total of 605MB today.
Awesome. Will make sure not to use their topup again. I've used a total of 20GB until the 26th...then managed to use 14GB in one day (even SABNZB queue for yesterday - 1.0 GB - and it still has 600MB of that in it.)

Well, all I can say is NightSurfer works very reliably, we get very few queries like this. Please PM me your soft-cap username and I will try and have a look on Monday.

Still got my Vox account. That just have to do. I won't touch Openweb even if they are the only option I have. I would rather go mobile broadband then.... Openweb was much better they resold the IS uncapped accounts directly. Now they are able to play with the shaping and it is a disaster to be honest.
It is just funny how they can preach shaping and throttling is bad and consumers must research wisely before picking a ISP. Ironic coming from Openweb as they are the worst shaped accounts there are. The WORST.
