Telkom Internet Softcap Feedback

Nope, not the case. I got the Do Premium Plus bundle and was being charged out of bundle for it (i.e. as two, separate items at full price)

Had to spend like an hour with Accounts as well as get my ticket escalated before it was resolved. The bundling is NOT automatic.

If it did not happen automatically then something went wrong that they had to fix. I was on a 4Mbps simple plus package. Upgraded my line to 10Mbps which means they removed the simple package and I was paying for 10Mbps and 20GB softcap separately then when I upgraded the cap to 50GB over the phone and the Do premium Plus discount was activated. When I upgraded my line speed to 20Mbps I saw the discount automatically changed to Do Elite.

So for me its been all automatic and hence if it does not happen automatically something went wrong.
 
Pricing is wrong on the website for the bundle I want, waiting for sales to call me to see what they're going to do about it (as far as I'm aware they have to honour the advertised price).

Also the 25% discount is for retention purposes only, meaning they may offer it to you if you want to cancel and it's not meant to be a special offer for a 12 month commitment.

Nope, they won't give me the R839 price. Said I could get 50% discount on the first month but that's not exactly enticing as it's going to be R979 pm for the remaining months.

I'm just going to upgrade my 10GB softcap account to 50GB and see how it goes.

Was really hoping they would honour the advertised price because that would be a great deal.
 
Maybe you should pm ranger and ask if he can forward it to the relevant people?

If the price is wrong on the website when are they intending to fix the price then....
 
I just bought the R49 doGaming bundle, checked that it was active then started downloading stuff from Battle.net but all the data came off my main cap. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Did you establish a new session after do gaming was activated, ie switch router off for 5min or so?
 
Is battle.net included though? I know all steam servers, psn and xbox live are covered by the do gaming addon but not sure if battle.net is included.

Ohh ok looks like there might be a new server that Telkom did not allow for the usage to be allocated to the addon. I did not need to restart when I bought the addon and it was correctly counting all steam updates and game downloads to my addon. So I think it must be a new server or something from battle.net that Telkom does not have on their list of allowed servers or something

What are you downloading and how? I do have the do gaming addon too so will see if it charges my bundle too or not.

WoW. Downloading via battle.net downloader on Mac. I've turned off p2p downloads also, not sure if that matters.

Yep battle.net is depleting normal cap instead of the do gaming addon. I went from 0% usage to 3% usage now and the do gaming addon did not even increase in usage.

Cool, thanks for the confirmation. Ranger has already responded to me and has started logging on my account to find out what's going on. If he needs more info, I'll point him to this thread.
 
Telkom switched me over to 10mbps soft cap on Thursday, my line is synced at 10mbps but my account is still saying 4mbps uncapped. No idea what's going on....
