I was staying after Vox decided to limit the bolt on. I already cancelled with them. I'm just super happy I'm saving R151 a month which I can use to top up more data with every month.

I've just upgraded from 4Mbps to Do Elite SoftCap (20Mbps + 50GB) for R601. Do you have the number for the Telkom Options centre? I can really use a R151 discount

Did you get sorted? Its option 4 then option 2 for line cancellations. That is Telkom Options centre. They can give you the 25% discount. I'm very keen to see my new Telkom Invoice for this month.
R450 for a 50GB softcap and 20Mbps line. Wow what a deal. I don't think ANY ISP can beat that deal so I'm totally staying with Telkom for quite a while. This account is also pretty impressive in terms of speed and latency.
Good luck with that.I was offered the discount and even received SMS confirming the discount,but when the invoice arrived in August it said contract 1 of 12 months and discount offered R0. I had numerous calls ans and dispute logged first few were closed even without contacting me,last one is still active but no body can explain whether they will offer it to me.Keep us informed how it turns out

Would never ever agree to be handcuffed into a contract with Telkom no matter what the discount (unless the discount is 100% of course).
The exit penalty is only 10% and that you recoup in 2-3 months from the discounts received. It's stupid not to take it.

That in its unlikely that you would cancel your adsl unless you plan to move your line to a ISP then you might not want to take it. That said the discount you get with Telkom would most likely be more than what you will get with a bundled package with another ISP.
Did that once, never again. The small discount is simply not worth the hassle when it comes to fault issues or moving to a new isp.
That too but if you plan on actually using Telkom ISP then its not worth it..... The adsl line rental for 20Mbps with the telkom discount means Vox is only R32.25 cheaper per month. Not really that much but still a saving if you plan on not using Telkom ISP at all. IF you are going to use Telkom ISP account then keeping the combo and 25% discount is a better option.

That is making the very massive assumption that the service is acceptable for 2-3 months.
Ok, don't sign up then, choices. I'm happy with it and will do it again should the opportunity arrise.

Killing the night surfer on my 50GB softcap account this month. Sickbeard with sabnzbd does all the work and keep my stuff downloading in night surfer time. Only used 22% of my 50GB softcap so far. Not bad and my Telkom account is the details in my router that I use as my main account for gaming, downloading and streaming.
