Thanks man. One thing about Telkom Internet, they are by far not the most organised business. But their cheapness makes up for that :D

It was accurate until the end of last month when we had the 00:00-06:00 slot. Come 1st of Sept. there was a glitch when it changed to 00:00-07:00 but apparently that was fixed.

I will be testing that tonight to see if the 6am - 7am problem has been resolved. Having a 13Mbps line I think it will be more noticeable if my cap gets used.

Please do report back. Ranger did say it has been fixed but your 13Mb/s line would very quickly confirm it, go rape it!

I think its just facebook,twitter and whatsapp and not sure what else. If you use social networks a lot I would say you can actually save about 1GB just on the free social networks add on.

I see that Video's actually hosted on facebook is also counted under the social media add on. I just added like 100mb by streaming my battlefield 3 video in HD that I uploaded from my PS4. Pretty cool. So there is some cap savings in that. The night surfer is the best thing they could have introduced to softcap customers.
 
Just to confirm that 6am to7am usage is being calculated correctly.

Yes did some downloads from 6am to 7am and all was added to night surfer time. I did not download a lot last night because windows decided it wants to update and restart and since I dialed a pppoe connection for Telkom account the downloads finished on my Vox account.....

But I can confirm that 6-7am works fine. Still on only 1% cap used of my 50GB softcap. Torrents was flying down to @ 1.3MB/s
 
anybody have a link to where it says the new night surfer time is till 7AM??
