Would you need to max your line?

I only max mine as it's so slow. Were I to use a 4Mb account, I probably wouldn't do much more than I'm doing now. Just faster

If you can avoid the strangulation, TI is fine.

So how much can you download on a 4 Mbps line before being managed?

I think the posts indicated between 320 - 350GB

Why not just use usenet instead of torrents?

Are the telkom servers any good or will I have to sign up to other servers, finding nzb's has become a hassle for me ever since nzbmatrix went dead as you could easily sort out the crap from the good stuff. I've still got some astraweb bandwidth left.

Usenet is kiff cept for DMCA mass takedowns. I find myself relying on torrents more and more for tv epis.

It was up and down this side... seems to be levelling out now - but was forced to phone in for a reset, since nothing was happening slowly earlier... Hitting 3,5mb now - occasionally drops down to 2,2 - 2,5mb, so not too bad...

Can anyone on 4MB confirm the amount of GB you pull can before being throttled?

Some people are saying 320-350GB.

I pulled 240GB so far this month and haven't been throttled yet, and lord knows I was trying to get throttled but ran out of stuff to download

Im with usenetserver.com at the mo, speeds are awesome but at least 60% of my grabs fail because of take downs. Not worth the 100 rond a month that it costs. Anyone tried a vpn service for streaming? I gave it a shot this month but speeds were ridiculously slow.
