xrapidx, can you post the link to the app/url of the radio, can test for you on myside. Atleast you will know if it is country wide issue or just your area. :)

Edit: Very nice site, streaming at 192 + HD slideshow and no buffering. Slight pause which is now playing Carice van Houten - Siren or the sea. Beautiful voice

Edit2: Switched to next song and no pause or delay - Elbow - My Very Best
Using about 30-50KB/s playing.

DNS - auto set on router

Not using saix proxy and streaming using Waterfox 18.01

I suggest others to test this site too.

I don't know why it won't work for you :/

Playing from that playlist file in WMP and it started instantly (lower quality than on the site but still clear).

Instant bookmark, so relaxing :). <3

I see now it is a hardware device, pretty cool :).
 
Mine is also playing fine now - not sure about video will probably see later today.

But the radio hasn't worked since 9am.

RE: Player, I have the original Squeezebox classic - nothing beats it - in my main listening room, I have a Raspberry Pi running Squeezeplug, although I wouldn't mind another Squeezebox Classic, but even 2nd hand they go for R2,000+
 
More people should listen to this when they have ADSL issues :D. It is a funny thing when someone has an issue and shares what link it goes to and suddenly it gets shared around :).

This stuff is great for getting work done too, Dj mixed bit is on. Great start to a Saturday afternoon i must say.

Edit: I came back from the kitchen after awhile and noticed the streaming stuggling, stopping and starting again sorted it out. That seemed odd. Will keep it going and see if it occurs again.

How much ping do you guys normally get on league of legends. In Pretoria and the lowest Ive had is 346,highest is 999 probably meaning +999

I'm in Richards Bay and since I got the uncapped account at launch it has always been 215ms ping in league of legends...... Now its unplayable with this account.

Now I'm using my @lantic uncapped after hours as a backup on the vox backbone and its giving me 200ms ping so definitely a problem with TelkomISP

Now it sounds there might be something broken with your gaming (isn't this classified as p2p traffic?) as i am getting erratic NNTP speeds but other traffic no issue. 200KB/s +- to 940KB/s hmm. I know it is month end but it can't be that bad :p . I was told for NGNews (local NNTP provider) that SSL is tunneled so speeds are erratic so i switched over to non-ssl ports and it is still the same. This after the HDD crashes, will test another month to see. Others on NNTP, persistent speeds ?

Wait till Monday then for me i guess. OP should be updated on usage for uncapped by then but more testing to be done though.

Mine fluctuates between 230 and 450 every second or so.

EDIT: 1700 ping. Fix yo' sh*t telkom. 220 ping mweb. so yeah :/

It should be classified as online gaming, which receives the same priority as video streaming and other real-time traffic, higher priority than downloads.

If there aren't any other problems, it might be specific to this game, and will take a bit of time to track down (e.g., we'll need to install it, do packet captures, debugging etc.).

Is anyone experiencing problems with other games?
 
@ranger, thanks for clearing that up as i wasn't sure. :)

Anything to report for the users this weekend or rather for the next 24hours :) regarding any work to be done?

There are a lot of issues in GT5 ito disconnections, incompatibility with host issues and updates downloaded are not completing and when they do, the hash values are not correct.
I'm referring to the PS3 console and PSN.
I cannot indicate ping, etc as I'm not sure if these values can be acquired on the PS3.
I was struggling to download a 17MB firnware from PSN on Thursday. It cjeot on bombing out.

My PS3 is in DMZ mode and I've done port forwarding on the GT5 ports.
 
I've been getting horrendous lag on Dota 2 on local and international servers all week. There seems to be an improvement today though.

Classic symptoms of "lack of IPC" but you will never hear an ISP admitting that until they are pushed into a corner. Been there, done that.
