Telkom Internet Uncapped User Feedback.

A friend of mine is on the 4MB TI Uncapped package, and had speed issues as well. When he called in, he was told that there are in fact speed restrictions in effect. I'm on a 2MB Uncapped, and I've never had any issues with speeds. Line runs full speed at any time of the day I've used it. Granted, I'm not a heavy downloader, but I'm not really a light user either.

I'm the furthest away from being a heavy user - reckon I hardly ever break through 20gb a month - so it really would suck if this is anything other than a bit of congestion.

That might be? But then again - 1st time I've noticed it this bad over a weekend - I regularly check Speedtest...

Relax dude. Ti has its ups and downs. Just Make a ticket with 10210. Let them reset the ports. Also ask options to make sure that you on the correct ISP package ie 4 meg uncapped not 2 meg uncapped.

And PM ranger or the telkom rep with the fault number. It always gets sorted out.

If its congestion than you fuked for now. No point complaining of congestion imo as Telkom is probable aware of it and trying to plan the upgrade.

Trying to watchthe DOTA2 live stream on Twitch is a nightmare on TI 4Mb, my friend on 4Mb Afrihost is streaming at 720p no issues. Sigh.

Gotta love Ti during this moment of MWEB's fail.

The only throttling I get is from my congested exchange #FTW

So my shocking 10meg uncapped TI speeds are back again since Sunday 5PM after a few days of magically being fine.

TelkomZA is investigating. But if anybody else wants to venture a guess here's some detailed stats.

Apologies for jumping in - but those last stats, on the line - are those found through the modem settings webpage, or through something run off your pc? Trying to figure out where to look to see mine - since I've been having fun and games as well the past few days, and I'm pretty sure the problem is not with my line...

Think it's dependent on your Router. My D-link has a page showing ADSL line stats.

I'm also still sitting with browsing issue's.
Line stats and test are good, but browsing is terrible. The pages would time out and then suddenly come alive or it would take forever to open the page. Sometimes it would say that the page does not exist or has been moved and that it could be some resolution error.

Facebook pages would load without any pics or videos.

just for kicks....try DNS: 8.8.8.8 it belongs to google...

My perforamcne is crap again.. http download at 20KB/s - can't stream internet radio again (4MB)
