PE having issues all of a sudden.

I have tried for almost an hour to connect to a pc in Mount Pleasant via Team Viewer. I couldn't stay connected for more than 10 minutes at a time.

My browsing have been terrible all day and Speedtest is a waste of time.

Real time http downloads seems to be okay. I'm downloading dotnet at the moment and my speeds are in the high 270 - 320kB/s, which is line with my QoS settings and other usage on the network.

Edit:
Spoke to soon. Download just dropped to 3kB/s with 17 hours left on about 210MB.

My international has been terrible all day. Been trying to download a 40MB file since lunch.
I'm currently getting 6.5KB/s on it.

I'm in Durban.

And Telkom has NEVER been very good at having accurate up to data tracker readouts anyways. ........

All the issues you mention are related to the SAIX ADSL product, where all service control and accounting is over RADIUS, and no longer relevsnt to us since February.

Issues here now after trying to find a stable stream (liveblogs) via ustream and it isn't doing good :(.

Wonder what is happening.

This 9to5mac live Google hangout at 720p aint stable on 10Mbps line.

"sends the ranger signal out" help

My international has been getting worse all day and is now pretty useless. JHB area. Struggling to get some decent NW going here.

One day maybe Telkom won't **** everything up all the time

Ranger, Telkom reps, some transparency please on what is affecting international links ?

We have been investigating.

Apparently there is work being done on the Durban to Amsterdam link, affecting all SAIX customers.

According to the notification it shoild be fixed by midnight.

Saix ref NN0015457

This is what's keeping me at an arm's length from TI!

Random issues cropping up out of the blue!

My Plugg account suits me just fine for when I get home (5pm-8am) and also the days I am home (worst case is 2mb out of 4mb).

If they can sort their **** then they will be a force to contend with, as I refuse to transfer my line to any ISP and choose to keep it with Telkom, their bundle prices are very tempting. Not even factoring (or bothered) in the 25% discount option.
