Just had a sad realisation, my exchange is still ADSL_G.dmt not ADSL2+.
I dont see no 10MB coming my way

Same. Sedgefield, Southern Cape. Both George and Knysna either side of me are 10 :(

Internet connection went completely dead about 20 minutes ago for me...

Multiple IPC links failed in our Gauteng site at 00h36, and were restored at 05h38. We will follow up with Telkom Wholesale on why this occurred, as our requirement upon which they provided proposals was for diverse paths for links that should be failover for each other.

This is what i wake up to, on a 1mb line

Last Result:
Download Speed: 319 kbps (39.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 356 kbps (44.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 529 ms

From experience I would say these requests sometimes get ignored or overlooked. Only way to be sure is to sit down with the monkey doing the planning and then verifying it for yourself.

My torrents today are MUCH better, bit erratic bouncing around but good nonetheless.

Wonder if this is somehow related to that little ipc fiasco telkom had last night.

Ouch. Luckily I was sleeping by then :)

You might just be right there...
My torrents too are much better today as well, averaging around 100kB/s, way better than the 10-30kB/s I had before.

Had a bad run of luck lately. Line connecting house to telkom pole got ripped in a storm. Finally got replaced but now my snr and attenuation are terrible

Upstream 512000
Downstream 2048000
SNR Margin(Upstream) 10 dB
SNR Margin(Downstream) 10.5 dB
Line Attenuation(Upstream) 31.5 dB
Line Attenuation(Downstream) 58.5 dB
CRC Errors(Upstream) 2505
CRC Errors(Downstream) 0
Latency(Upstream) Fast
Latency(Downstream) Fast

What can I do telkomZa?? WE would really like to upgrade our line to 4mb as soon as possible...

With those stats I doubt you will get 10MB bud.

You in the Kloof/Hillcrest area? (031-764)

EDIT: Kloof - Thanks MickeyD
