Telkom, if you don't have the capability to manage your network, you should outsource it.
 
Performance goes down the tube during the evenings as less Telkom staff are on duty to disconnect and connect packets. ;)

But the question is now for how long will things stay fine.
 
There is the distinct possibility that they don't know how to fix it and that is why everyone has been told to keep quiet.

Tend to agree with you 100%!!! It's now a month for me with poor adsl speeds & Telkom service!!!
 
See lots of you have had streaming problems... has anyone seen their torrents just completely stop working?

I've had no problems until about 3 or 4 days ago. Since then, nothing... I can't even get a connection through my client. Everything is stalled even though it looks like there are peers and seeds.
 
Things are working fine for me here in PMB. Can stream from my TV just fine and pings are better than ever. Sorry to post good news while others are suffering. Torrents are running @ 0.1KiB/s, which I presume is the cause to the high speeds (torrents are disabled therefore other services have bandwidth to play with). I would honestly rather have no torrents and high, stable speeds.
 
Decided to trial Webafrica.

Really impressed so far. Think I'm gonna cancel Telkom.
 
PM'd TelkomZA, and he says they know there is a problem, and it is receiving attention at the highest levels.

As a communications company they fail disamlly in communicating with their clients. They seem to adopt the 'mushroom' approach, keep them in the dark and feed them schite!

Really TI, your lack of communication with your clients is nothing but shameful, the fact that the problem has been ongoing for over a month is disgraceful and points to sheer incompetence and a lack of willpower to resolve the problem. Fsck I personally know of a least 20 rocket scientist within Telkom (that people from Cisco would agree with, yes and you have their top engineers at your disposal as well 24/7) so it can't be due to a lack of expertise, I suspect a management/logistical issue here.

big up yours to Telkom - the P2P just stopped working completely.
Just typed in a MWeb or Afrihost password - all the problems went away.
 
I can confirm that p2p just don't work on Telkon until 12am, then till 7am(ish) it works ok. If you want to dl on telkom, get nntp.
 
Did my daily achievement this morning in Guild Wars 2. What a pleadure, my Toon dodges and attacks perfectly.

Now at work, please, please, may it still be the same this afternoon when I get home ... , then I can maybe actually enjoy a dungeon ir two ...
 
Another weekend of 150KB/s on 10MB - and still no call from their cancellation department. Company made of liers and bull****ters.
