Yoh , speeds are pretty good since this morning around 2am. I don't know why others are not experiencing the same (besides elf_lord_ZC5).

@xrapidx - what happens if you get another IP address to see if it makes a difference. I realise it is hard to be optimistic but it is one of the only things that keep me from changing providers. :/

Been trying for 4 hours to cancel Telkom ISP - it simply is impossible.
No one answers the phone line.
I went into a telkom shop - they are unable to assist - they say the only way to cancel is via a telephone call - but I shouldnt worry - they have a hotline inside the store. I sat there for 25 minutes on the phone, and went back home.
Been on hold for 40 minutes now, who knows when/if they will answer.

This is messed up. I hate you Telkom.

Why doesnt Telkom/SAIX have a national status page, so we can see exactly what's going on with SA's internet and how its affecting other ISP's etc.

big up yours to Telkom - the P2P just stopped working completely.
Just typed in a MWeb or Afrihost password - all the problems went away.

I Agree This is the First Time that my torrants ran very slow the whole day yesterday and last night poorly .
I dont torrent much just a movie nowand again or a miniseries .
the most I have got is 15KB/s

I don't mind that Telkom kills of torrents and P2P seeing how horrific the network the whole of last weekend and the weekday evenings were

My question is what recourse do those who have signed up on a contract have when the speeds have been absolutely dismal and one is clearly not getting the service advertised?
