So what you saying is shut down your pc more often and that will have a better result when TI applies there shaping. I agree!

I take it you have iptv service... netflix / hulu? How is that working out for you? is it better then Dstv or not?

Yeah, much better than DSTV in my opinion, and R80 a month.. no comparison, _but_ I don't watch any sports so if you're a sports fan - you're stuck with DSTV.

Netflix's selection isn't exactly "0-day" or anything but there's loads to choose from. Hulu is pretty good with keeping up to date but Netflix serves me well, for the latest episodes I still have my RSS torrent feeds going.

For some reason I get these absurd speeds on SAIX (not real life)
On MyBB and Speedtest the dials go faster than Superman to my juged speeds.

I'm definitely down on International, but nothing major, about 70KB/s on international.
I can't say if it is linked to my current orange status as I only became aware of this status late last night.
I think Ranger said that I'm not managed yet.

Edit:
Just saw the line quality.
I'm always "Grade A" on local and mostly "Grade B" on internationally, so not sure where the problem is atm.

Regarding the "On MyBB and Speedtest the dials go faster than Superman to my juged speeds." maybe it's got something to do with java, try checking for updates or try a different browser as a test?

I also got the RED bar
I am Not softcaped can still go on You Tube and download stuff only speed is reduced to about half on my 1 meg .
Only joined uncapped in Feb from a Do2
March used 198gigs
I think every one is now being monitored ( watched )

Only download stuff from Youtube to watch in HD and My Boys can do stuff with the X-Box.

I did state a few posts back and few days ago :p but around 230GB and on the 2MB Uncapped account. Note that i am in the RED (Power User).

Their system is probably still buggered then. I'm sure I've done more this month.

I upgraded to the 1mb line last year if I remember correctly then our 20gigs per month went onto that soft cap thing but jinne over the last month or two the connection and speed has sucked big time and it's very irritating. Youtube buffers like there is no tomorrow, pages hand or don't load. I even have pages freezing on me.

Lets hope so :).

I would like to hear from the 10MB uncapped users on what their experience has been at over 500-800GBs. If you guys are lurking, leave a comment or 2 please.

So I was hearing that Telkom uncapped is awesome, but now it seems it is not sol awesome. I want to sign up for 2mb uncapped but I don't want to get throttled to 384kb

All you can do is try it and if it doesn't suit your needs go elsewhere. Just be aware there is no pro-rata on TI so you need to sign up on the first of the month and cancel on the last day, I recommend using a Telkom Direct shop and not 10210.

DARN! I was hoping to sign up a few days before the end of the month.

I can borrow you one of my other non TI accounts to tie you over, but it only has about 4GB on it?

Thanks a lot for the offer but my MWEB account is still active till month end, just wanted the faster speed. :D

I was charged a pro rate rate when I upgraded my line from 2 to 4 Mbps. This is for the line portion only though.

AFAIK Telkoms system automatically applies prorata and also discounts if fault on line etc.

Also the month-to-month contract has a 30 days cancellation notice. NB that you can downgrade via 10210 immediately however cancellation has 30 days notice.
