No problems here on TI 4Mbps Uncapped, been as smooth as silk so far this month and I've moved about 200GB :)

I'm soooo jealous. The last few days have been so slow, I'm getting half of what my old 2MB could do :'(
I thought upgrading to 4MB would double my download speed not half it

Why don't Telkom warn their customers when they are busy working on their networks in the area? Right now they are busy in Cape Town and Durban, installing street boxes like crazy and this could potentially impact their customers' services. If I knew about it (was forewarned) then I might be a tad more tolerant pending the migration to a better service.

Instead we get treated like mushrooms...
 
So I did what I always do, logged a fault with Telkom. Think I have logged one almost every third day for the past three months.

Did you log a line-related fault, or an ISP fault? If an ISP fault, please PM me the ticket number. If not, please report an ISP fault instead (e.g. email [email protected], or use the 'Report an ISP fault' link at http://www.do.co.za), and *then* PM me the ticket number (you should receive it by auto-reply email).
 
Dunno what you guys did but all my problems have disappeared. Streaming excellent (if youtube pauses just make video small and big again so think issue is more chrome and youtube code), gaming (average but working ie still issues with xbox matchmaking), browsing excellent, torrents (excellent)

Newcastle.

So far 222 GB on 4 meg uncapped.
 
interwebs with Telkom Uncapped in Bloem is also treating me very well. All my downloads are torrents and Im getting just about full line speed 90% of the time.

Thanks for the offer to help but line is back to normal again today.

Able to do some work for a change, only problem now is that its Friday so will be shutting down just now.... :D
 
I'm still struggling here. Getting 2Mbps on my 4Mb line. At least its better than the 1Mbps I was getting previously.
This morning I was getting full 4Mbps and streaming youtube in HD. I wish it would stay that way.

Download Speed: 2060 kbps (257.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 434 kbps (54.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 23 ms

As I posted that, my speed jumped back to full speed. :D
I hope it stays like this.

I'm still battling here. I got a PM from TelkomZA saying they sent a request to move my as its possible I'm on a congested uplink.

EDIT: Speeds haven't been bad today 2.92MB right now, still off from what it should be but way better than 0.89MB I was getting yesterday.

since last night my 2meg line is so slow no youtube cause it keeps buffering........games are a pain got to keep reloading to eventually get the page to load and right now the switching on and off is going on.........

My line is still running at full speed and the fault has been closed.
I'm not sure if anyone really fixed anything though. When I last spoke to the tech they couldnt find any problem.
 
Please can somebody check whats wrong with my line/account in rondebosch? Battling to even get 30kbps on a 1meg line. And oings are over 500 :(

Probably dslam congestion (may not be, but best to rule it out. Please see the instructions in the PM I sent you. I have more detailed instructions we provide on official queries.

I may consider posting them in a different MyBroadband sub-forum.

So, we have had reports of problems, which we would like to in estigate. I did investigations on Awesum and Gboss's accounts, but theirs seemed to be dslam congestion.

I would like to see what is happening with your account, as this should not happen. Unfortunately you haven't provided any details, and don't even seem willing to let me check ...
