Telkom Internet Uncapped User Feedback.

I connected on Monday at mid-day for the first time on my new telkom username. Have done 17 Gb of traffic since then, and all was fine until a couple of hours ago. I was really enjoying 4 meg for 48 hours! Surely if the profile was incorrectly set up, it would have been iffy from the get-go?
I would have thought so.

Where are you located as there seem to be a few users with "evening" problems which I'm not experiencing in PE (nor is MickeyD it seems).

I'm also having issues right now. The internet just decided to slow down and die 20 mins ago. Using my Afrihost account for testing and everything works, so I wonder who flipped what switch...

Correct, MickeyD!

DNS seems the obvious suspect if your MWeb account is working.

I'm using Telkoms default servers which are as follows on my firewall:

primary DNS address 196.43.54.190
secondary DNS address 196.43.38.190

... maybe give these a try.

Service is back to normal, <20ms latency, 8.5Mb download on speedtest.net.
No feedback yet from TI logged call.

doesn't seem to make a difference :(

Mine's also gone wacked. TI 4 Meg uncapped. Just migrated from Mweb on monday. Luckily that account's still active till the end of the month. This feels like dial-up.

Edit: I'd post a speedtest, but neither the OOkla one or the mybroadband one will even load...

And as he drove on, the rain clouds dragged down the sky after him for, though he did not know it, Rob McKenna was a Rain God. All he knew was that his working days were miserable and he had a succession of lousy holidays. All the clouds knew was that they loved him and wanted to be near him, to cherish him and to water him.
~~~So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
Post of the thread. In my head - DA actually found Elvis.
Marvin droned,
Now the world has gone to bed,
Darkness won't engulf my head,
I can see by infrared,
How I hate the night.
He paused to gather the artistic and emotional strength to tackle the next verse.
Now I lay me down to sleep,
Try to count electric sheep,
Sweet dream wishes you can keep,
How I hate the night.
Best bet would still be to PM TelkomZA as it definitely seems to be TI account related from your testing.
I'm quite sure it is. Will PM Ranger or TelkomZA.
Dinner more important right now :)
