Once you have a do Uncapped 4mbps, how hard is it to upgrade it to a 10mbps? Is it all done online via a control panel (like Afrihost and the other ISP's)?

No. You must call 10210.

It needs to be established if you have a 10Mbps capable equipment available at the exchange.

Yes but does that take long, or is it automated? Because the site that checks the exchange capability isn't always correct - for my home address it still shows 4mbps (which IS correct, it's currently in the process of being upgraded), but for the work address it also shows 4mbps, while that one is actually 10mbps.

10210 can immediately tell you if you can get 10Mbps.

@MickeyD: Is this site accurate? http://broadbandstats.co.za/province/

Looks like it stopped getting updated about a year ago. Any idea?
No, it is a good indicator but not 100% accurate.
