I have been asking the same question for the last few weeks but I just get replies from other users that their experience is excellent. I am clearly not alone :whistle:

My torrents were always running fine 24/7. At this very moment I'm getting 0-10 KiB/s and this has become more common in the last 3-4 weeks or so.

I see others here with no issues whatsoever (I was in the same boat before) and their torrents are going like the clappers. Could you please explain to me how you guys are shaping/throttling torrent traffic, are you doing it on a per user or per dslam basis depending on user abuse or dslam congestion? It does not appear that you guys have a common policy across your network?

Trust me Im also having the same issue.

Dont stress. TelkomISP probable knows about it and trying to fix it. I've been a client for few years and it has its ups and downs
 
I don't know what is going on a few months back I was getting the usual 3.6Mbps for my 4Mbs line. These days I'm lucky to get 2Mbs. Seriously considering other alternatives, also thinking of downgrading to 2Mb since it's about the speed I get if I'm lucky.

During the day speeds are terrible. 0.1Mbps - 0.5Mpbs.

Im having huge issues too... This latency is killing me... Is there an upgrade going on or something? I cant play any of my online games the lag is making me rage...

I did several tests and some of them went up to 2890kbps, which is close to my line speed if I take my QoS in account.
Also I'm not the only one on the line atm.
My wife is on FB and my tenant is gaming or Youtubing on PS3.

I meant that maybe a lot of people are still downloading Win 8.1 and that could be the cause of slower speeds.
It is only a wild guess though.
Also Sunday nights a lot of popular series are displayed and released in the early hours of Monday morning and maybe guys are busy downloading it all over the world, including SA.
 
I still dont understand though... when i use my mweb account my ping is perfect... so these downloads only affect telkom?
 
Also getting heavy shaping on torrents tonight. Doesn't bother me as such, but can someone confirm whether streaming (Netflix / Hulu / YouTube) and browsing are affected by Telkom's shaping as well?
