Telkom Internet Uncapped User Feedback.

Has anyone had gaming problems with telkom.. i Have both Telkom uncapped and mweb uncapped accounts... the telkom account is brand new! not even a gig downloaded... getting 350 - 790ms ping... change the username and password to my mweb premium account... with alot downloaded on that account this month... 30 -76ms pings to all servers... SGS servers.. mweb servers, IS servers... all crap ping on telkom... anyone ?

Download Speed: 3148 kbps (393.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 345 kbps (43.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 60 ms

I'm still waiting for my 4MB upgrade :(
 
Hi PPL, I'm currently with AH but want to move to Telkom. Does anyone know at what stage of the month I can order online without having to pay pro-rata for the rest of the month? Or can I only order on the 1st of next month?

Also, is activiation instantaneously when ordering online? Or do certain documents first need to be processed and accepted manually at Telkom's side?

Welcome :)

I've heard rumours that pro-rata has been introduced but suspect that it's only in respect of voice / data lines billing. To be on the safe side only order your uncapped on the 1st, it should be activated immediately and they'll SMS you your username & password.

Edit: I assume your line is still with Telkom not AH as this can cause problems.

I haven't suddenly felt the need to download more data.
I download what I download.

It's nice to stream HD on hulu though :D

Except for between 6PM and midnight ...

Although since moaning on Friday the weekend was flawless. Maybe someone somewhere has flicked on the "unshape hulu" button.

I still don't have many of the issues experienced by some of you.
I stream flawlessly all the time.
Only issue is with Hulu ads pausing to buffer occasionally but from what I've read this is an ongoing Hulu issue not specific to me.
 
Can you guys please tell me the performance with telkom uncapped products? I got upgraded from 2mb to 4mb and I am with openweb atm but it seems their prices are increasing. I am with the Gold account at the moment.

1.Performance regarding torrents?
2.How is the shaping?
3.Is there any throttling?
4.Overall will it be a wise move to change ISP to telkom?
