The portal is very useless in comparison to pretty much any other ISPs usage portal.

It's also poorly designed and once you click on certain parts of the portal you can't go back to the previous page. I literally have to log back into the site sometimes.

There is no option to communicate with tech support or submit tickets.
There is no daily usage break down. Why do I have to request an email of usage stats?
There is no usage break down according to traffic.
There is no cellphone app.
There is no upload/download split in the data usage presentation.

How can a company this big and this entrenched in South African telecoms have such a poor online portal.

Please correct me if I've spoke out of turn. My experience on this site is limited to 14 days. But it has been rather abysmal.

You have summarised the absence of user tools well, and I assume you are not expecting a response from Telkom?:twisted:

I live in a small WC town where the fastest ADSL connection I can get is the "up to" 4Mbps.
 
If this does catch their attention they need to take some steps to improve their service. If I pay R100 per month to Afrihost I get 10x more end user tools. I'm curious whether businesses also have the same limited view of their accounts?

It would have helpful if anyone else wants to point out other issues on the site.

That SAIX interface has 8bit colour depth and looks like it was coded for HTML1 as a high school project from 1998. The sales site is all spiffy and new. There's just no continuity.
