Telkom is hurting

It is actually cable thefts that contributes to the 90% of these numbers. Thousands of copper cables are being stolen every day and Telkom is not replacing them at all thus reducing the number of DSL services working on that infrastructure. Most people have no idea about the extent in which copper cables are stolen in this country. It is really bad and Telkom has no control over this problem.

I'm actually quite happy with Telkom Mobile. My average spend is down 80% per month compared with my former SP. As far as fixed line connectivity my 200mb/s openserve fibre allows me to run simultaneous ISPs for convenience. Historically they weren't the greatest but of late cannot complain and have never had a hiccup with the fibre at all.
That's good, but don't hold your breath. Remember it's the government you're dealing with and no good can ever come of that.

And k@k service and #ScrewTheCustomer has nothing to do with it?

If I would transfer from ADSL copperwire to VDSL fibre both at Telkom would I then be an ADSL subscriber loss? I am, afterall, still a Telkom client.
Makes your Telkom ADSL subscriber-losses figure non-sensical seeing there is an ongoing and concerted effort to migrate them to fibre.

After 2 years of not having a landline due to cable theft, we are still getting invoices. Trying to cancel is a nightmare. We were told we were getting handheld phones, but never happened. Customer service is useless. They are taught a few standard lines to use for everything and anything , if it is relevant to your query or not is not important. And then they wonder why they are "hurting".....
Wonder if they count those invoices.

Telkom doesn't release separate counts. DSL numbers are falling but fibre is increasing.

Telkom fraudulently blacklisted me... more than three years ago I managed to cancel every Telkom account.. and then I learned from a credit rating report - where I was blacklisted - that they were fraudulently billing me! I worked there, I tried to help them... it's shockingly bad!
