Telkom its own worst enemy?

This is such a depressing article to read.!. Those "boxes" at telkom must come right. We gonna end up like Zimbabwe !F### P### C#### at telkom
 
Sigh..even though Telkom suck, they are still the ONLY operator offering fixed lines to the public sector.
They have no competition in that regard, and dont have to change.
Ok cellc,MTN,vodacom,neofail are all there but its all wireless.
Wanting low latency fixed line we are forced to still use Telkom.
We need a friggin competitor in the fixed line market PLEASE!!!
 
Just spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to solve a client's email woes.
They told me there pop servers have been falling over for the last 3 days, no ETA as to when it will be fixed and then gave me a link to a site I can use for now to read emails. Problem is the site is flooded with other people trying to get their email.
 
I am weeping. Day 15 of no phone line or internet or feedback from Telkom. Every time you phone them, you have to re-enter into the same unresolvable loop.
 
The 36% discount on the net asset value means that this is a very good time to buy huge chunks of Telkom if you happen to have the kind of knowledge required to make those assets productive. I'm looking at you, China.

It's time those little worker bees of the East had a word with our fat jungle kings. In exchange for small wads of remnimbi, I'm sure that 39% might amicably be vested and sold to some Chinese. It might not be in our interests in the long run, but then neither is the ANC. Save us.
 
I don't want the Chinese to own Telkom just like I don't want them to own any of our banks. Through the corporate interface we wont see any better deals. Corporations make as much money as they can period. All that is necessary is for the fat sods in the gov to realize that they and everybody else will be better off if they can effectively legislate for a change and stop the hell holding down our economy with direct government (inefficient) interference. It's not speculation.. Politicians can't do business for **** - not honorably anyway. Can somebody in the ANC with a clue please stand up?

What I want to know is... If the ANC ever goes out of power.. Will the stuff 'the government' now owns that they have so gleefully taken for themselves still belong to the country. I mean something cannot belong to the government without belonging to the country. Right? If all this stuff simply belongs to the ANC now then it is truly the biggest con in world history. When/where will TIA stop? We must go forward!
 
Hate to break it to you folks but the people in power (i.e. Telkom directors, political bigwigs, youth leagues, etc) don't care what the media and the public say. If I was in their shoes I would say 'so what??...sue me!...your little words have no influence in my life and my mission to plunder!'

Hence they will go down in History as individuals or collectives who raped and pillaged the valuable resources of this Country. The problem in this country is that as tax paying citizens we are too soft. We dont stand up for our rights. We get pushed, shoved, screwed and we say thank you can I have some more at the end. As much as I have to agree with you in terms of being right.

Overall it is a very helpless situation we find ourselves in. Hopefully there will come a day when it is not the case???
