Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Didn't brick just took long, so I restarted the box. But everything has been deleted/formatted. Not sure if this is because I restarted or what.

Any noticeable changes? Apart from the device being wiped (wtf)

Please check if there is still USB write privileges after the update? I am having a problem with my Skyworth box that has 8.0.

There was an option that popped up to make the usb part of the storage. I declined that option.
 
OK this just popped up again? Not sure if it's the same one as before or what?

OK it seems it's another update
 
Netflix starts up fine now. Don't have an account to test.

Just been updated too.

Also there is a new entry in the tv settings for Netflix now.

Hopefully the A11 gets the update soon (here's holding thumbs)

Was the update through checking via the update and backup app or was it a android OTA

Was ota. Pop-up notification while streaming with one of the other side loaded apps.

Strange, I thought because of the LIT skin on top of android Oreo it would have been a manufacturer update push and not a android update push
 
Rodga, you still using patched netflix?

I attempted a straight install with my 07, but even though the version seems the same as your update its not actually working?

Not using Netflix myself. The version installed on the box is the one from the update.

Have they added netflix pre install back in? Because I dont think mine did that. Sigh.. I really hope they didnt screw the pooch with a weird fragmented rollout of that.

Sorry this mention never gave a notification ...

It will be all of them - but as you can imagine, rolling an update of this size can't really be done at once due to bandwidth constraints. But a number of units have received the update and a number of them will be in the few weeks. Hopefully, going into December everything *should* be done
