Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

A11 model got upgraded this morning. Had only a black screen after the first update. Had to remove power cord to fix. Was presented with a second update a couple of minutes later. Everything working really well so far.

Still no update on A11's here - sigh, I want to get this over and done with.
 
netflix and prime works now but no 5.1 :/
DDP 5.1 works on Netflix , no DDP 5.1 on the Prime apk not far back in this thread. The back button works fine so thats a relief.

Still can't get HD audio out on Kodi/MrMC apps though :(.

I do love the feature that you can safely remove your HDD at the top RHS where it shows a 1. :thumbsup:
 
Reset the box after both updates. Let DSTV now and all other apps update, before adding new apps. Then log into DSTV now. Should work then

Just did that. Reset everything. Still no luck with DSTV Now.

Before the LIT box firmware update my Dstv Now app worked like a charm. Then one day it loaded a screen requesting me to go to a url and enter a code. Couldn't get into Dstv Now.
I uninstalled the latest Dstv Now app update and it allowed me to log in and worked fine like before. I then updated the Dstv Now app and it once again blocked me with the code screen. So I then uninstalled the latest Dstv Now update and switched off auto updates.
No issues.

Since the LIT Box firmware update the Dstv Now app is back to the code screen. I uninstall the latest Dstv Now app update but it then takes me to the app store to update and I cannot get into Dstv Now. Even when I update and try and enter the code it does not work so I'm am not literally stuffed because I can no longer uninstall the Dstv Now update to continue.

Anyone else had this issue and was able to resolve it?

From my observation, during the update, your DSTV app must update, after the install, if it does not update, then it behaves as you describe.

The version in Play Store is not current. My guess.

Ask @Nology if he can resend you the update, and i mean both updates. Redo the update, and let all the apps update. Then reset the box again, let the apps update again, then login to DSTV now before installing other apps
