Wonder why 2 members were told its been discontinued? Hope its just all confusion from some store staff.

There is a distinct lack of stock, at the moment. Maybe this has led stores to assume it's discontinued?

Running with the rumour mill just generates more confusion. Dolby says it is not discontinued, which has more credibility than most in regard to the LIT box.
There's plenty more on order, so there would be no reason from Telkom's side to say that.

Yeah, the types in the Telkom stores I dealt with, seem to have very narrow scope, and very little initiative, - end result a total waste of my time. At the stores here only found one lady who is worth her employment. If she is not working when I walk in, I enquire as to when she will be on duty, and walk out. Come back when she is working and deal with her only. I might have to wait a little while longer to get to her, but I more than make up for it, with time saved getting whatever fixed.

You guys do know you can just phone Telkom to enquire about which shop has specific stock? Works everytime for me.

Also Telkom only got the Netflix certification at the end of last year after over a year of admin. They wouldn't logically kill it off and throw all that work away and, on top of it, LIT has been pretty damn succesul for them!
There is an issue with stock and its likely earlier for the staff to say that. The staff in the shops would have no idea what's going on at management level anyhow, so they would have no idea about anything being discontinued, or new products, or stock availability etc until right at the end of the process.
Bear in mind what else these shops have told people the past 18 months... Can't buy them cash...if you do, no warranty... No idea about A6, 7 etc.
This thread is where you want to be and pretty knowledgeable - not really Telkom shops.

It's Google Certified - so yup, DSTV Now and Showmax both work.
You're on the latest FW?
Yes i am on the latest firmware. Dstv Now & Netflix works, Showmax not working.

I am wondering if my LIT box is repairable.
It started giving load pops from TV, and blanking out.
Tried swapping power supply with my other LIT box and it still does the same.
It had been working well for a long time. It is over a year I have had it, so I guess no warranty.
Other LIT box is fine.
Any ideas?
