Disable audio passthrough under advanced if it is on auto. Then sound should be pcm stereo

Okay that doesn't seem to be the case for me unless I use Plex on Kodi.
Native client passed it through.
Unless you mean it only does this after the "change"?

Cheap, hardware h265 HDR decoding, and plays everything.
Really? I'm reading a lot of posts saying it can't even play Netflix without hassles.

Netflix certification is still pending :/ Works at 1080p if you sideload the right APK. That's the only downside I've found so far. Oh that and some network performance issues.

Every one is not married to NetFlix - and it does the rest very well for the price.
Hard to dismiss what's arguably the most popular streaming service in the country - glaring oversight if you ask me.
Jip the Netflix thing is also an issue for me. Moved to the fire stick while I’m hoping that the Netflix certification do get sorted. Cause then it’ll be a killer box

Most have other sources for movies, series, others are happy with DSTV for sports and what else they have to offer. No sport on NetFlix - horses for courses ...
