To add a sideloaded app to your "app and games" row on the home screen you can download a app called TV App Repo which allows you to create a shortcut.

How do I get Tv Settings to work again?
Really? So now I also can't choose to shut down my device instead of standby? I'm sure I saw that setting in thereI imagine you need to wait for a fix in the next firmware :/
I have been successful by going to settings, apps, tv settings and clearing cache and memory, then force-closing the app. After a reboot it was working fine. How do I get Tv Settings to work again?
This is my thinking as well. Which is why I haven't pulled the trigger to buy this yet.Anybody realistically expect an OTA update on this Lit Box ? Very few Android devices receive this from manufactures. Awaiting Multichoice to cater for the Android TV operating system is probably another pipe dream.
Yep, the fact that the new version is working once sideloaded shows that an Android TV is around the cornerThe DSTV Now app is in the works ... no ETA, but it's close.
Is it possible "lock" the LIT's output resolution? Reason I ask: I'm getting close to being able to upgrade my ADSL line speed and I need to decide which speed is going to the best value.
Currently the downloaded tv series, in particular, that I watch at 480p are decently watchable - even on my 55" tv and on my 2MB ADSL I can watch youtube videos also at 480p with no buffering - problem is that when I'm jamming some online gaming and the SO wants to watch something off the LIT box at 720p, what would be the minimum line speed I should be looking at to eliminate either of us having any lag / buffering issues?
