Where did you get it from? Can you extract the apk?

Seems soldering one in wouldn’t be too hard.

And probably cheaper than another remote.

Just installed this version via playstore on lit box.. Same version.. Tested and playback is smooth.. Interface is smooth as well.

Also updated the Google launcher Via playstore., much smoother the interface is now..

And just found out I have the A07 model.. I picked up this box 1 week after launch from pavilion branch in Durban, so Bluetooth works
 
Did all the updates today. Finally got the box 90% like the way I want it. Dstv Now, Showmax, Netflix decided to work, lol. And Kodi is working nicely. Beside it’s bit of hit and miss when it comes to Dts Hd. All other formats are perfect. Dts Hd audio works then stops working, the AVR remains on pcm. Sometimes couple minutes into the movie, the audio switches correctly. So I got feeling if connected via lan it will work better, as the audio might catch up to the video. WiFi is not so good for me.

Do still with A06 model, any word from Telkom regarding swapping for A07 models.

I went to 3 telkom direct stores and an express store today. All 3 Directs only had A06 though they would have been willing to swap. The Express had A07, they won't swap Direct-bought boxes.

Poor form telkom. You need to make the differences between the batches known, and let people know how to get a Bluetooth/5ghz wifi one if they want one.

Any options to use Bitstream instead?

May solve the problem.

Doubt it’s LAN vs WiFi. Video would be the problem then not audio.
 
I dont see any options for bitstream. Coming from a HP Microserver with Kodi, to android version. Its a little different. The audio device is greyed out in kodi. And the only other settings for sound is under TV settings on the Android box, which crashes alot. Which i suspect is also the issue withe sound. I even defaulted the AVR. I only have issue's with DTS HD.
 
If 5.1 is what you want in Kodi...

In Kodi do the following:
1. Go to settings -> system
2. Make sure you on expert settings
3. Then go to audio
4. Set speakers to Stereo or 2.0
5. Then set that your AVR supports Dolby Digital
6. Another option will become available, that you can encode non DD audio to DD. This will allow video eps with AAC 5.1 audio for example to work, since this box doesnt support PCM 5.1 ect.

Those are my settings. I do get 5.1 when playing any other format. Its only when i play DTS-HD MA. The AVR does not switch or does not switch immediately.
