Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Quick question, what Plex are you guys running. Because for some reason lower quality films playback perfectly unfortunately when I play 1080p it looks like it stutters a bit... dunno if it might be the transcoding on the server or perhaps the wifi vs lan issue.

Properly Lan/WiFi issue.

Luckily I waited and asked specifically for a A07.
Sinbad should try the store in JHB CBD, they should be able to swap it out.
 
I got my box back today after not having it for about 2 weeks

I see Dstv is now officially supported.

And Netflix still not.

And Kodi with Colossus addon is dead?? Legalities?

Colossus is dead, they stepped hard on his [ mantainers ] balls and he tapped out ... , don't blame him either.

Dstv not behaving
 
Guys how do I check if mine is A06 or A07?...i bought mine a while back

i see dstv responded to folks complaining on playstore they were having issues logging on or viewing on the app.. seems their infrastructure was to blame.. been resolved since then

That’s usually the server being too weak.

Also if you have subtitles on it often forces transcoding.

The best option for local streaming is to set your quality to Unlimited so it doesn’t transcode.

How did Telkom manage to get this so wrong. How do you distribute two totally different models unintentionally?

Can someone also explain to me the benefit of the Bluetooth? You just able to add earphones or something like that??

By not proofreading the order/spec.
Keyboards, mics for voice search, harmony hub etc

So your settings are incorrect. While your receiver supports DTS-HD MA, the TVB-100 doesn't support sending it over HDMI, at least in the software configuration.

So repeat my steps again, but ONLY enable DD passthrough, don't enable DD Plus (E-AC3) and don't enable DTS passthrough. Then it will work.
