Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

How do I load terrarium TV om the Lit box?

Download the APK and install. Use ES file explorer to browse the location of the file. It might ask you to turn on unknown sources if u didnt already.

I want to know how to install chrome browser? Methods i tried did not work. I'm using puffin browser for now?

I have installed google Chrome. Visit apkmirror website and download google chrome apk. Install it via es explorer and you good to go.

Is there any way to wirelessly access media files that are on a USB harddrive attached to this tv box?
Es file explorer might offer something like that. Is it only media or other types of files?

I've struggled with Kodi for Android, to use it as a media server that is accessible wirelessly by other Android devices. It's not like Plex. I guess I have to take another look.

ES can access shared folders on the LAN and SAMBA servers, but cannot create one.

I want to be able to plug an external HD into the USB port, and access it with other android devices, especially to stream media from it by any device on the wireless network.

Have you tried Solid Explorer? You will have to side load it.

Hi there

Anybody picking up issues with Red Bull TV. It is buffering extremely. Have been using the box (A07) for a month and has been like this from the start. Uninstalled/Install did not help. Tried an APK from APKmirror but it flipped the screen and lost some of the functionalities. Recommendation for an APK that works.

New to this android boxes. Also recommendation for an entry level air mouse and where to buy.
Thanks

Your airmouse that came with your A07 don't work? Having buffering issues with Youtube? If Youtube is smooth at high res then you normally know your hardware and connection is not to blame.

Mouse that came with is working OK. Had some intermittent problems with mouse, but is looking for something with a keyboard and FF/RW/Pause etc buttons.

Youtube and Netflix running fine. No issues. The Redbull APK that I installed also did not buffer. The one from google play is buffering like mad.

Got my box today, been using a raspberry pi 3 up to now, but need Netflix and Showmax support along with Kodi to access my SMB shares on my Windows 10 server machine.

After an hour or so trying to set up, lots of useless googling, RTFM proved true again:
https://kodi.wiki/view/SMB/Windows

Did not have the correct SMB components installed, so a simple enabling of that fixed my SMB mapping problem in Kodi.

So far quite impressed with the box, the speed is awesome, and it is easy to use, which is the point with an entire family of techo scared users who have been using Kodi up to now. Time will tell if they can use the device as it should/could be used.

Using a spare full qwerty remote and mouse and keyboard as well, but the remote has worked okay for me for the basics so far. The more technical stuff the mouse/keyboard is a must.
