Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

It must be. There's no way the cpu could come close.

/edit Confirmed, hardware.

Seems to be slightly better tonight. I dunno.

What is the second audio track, maybe it's the DTS HD it doesn't like.

The audio is passed through.

It's the only thing I can think of, from your screenshot it doesn't seem to be DTS HD anyway it's AC3 aka Dolby Digital, have you tried another player besides Kodi?

4mbps is plenty. DSTV Now runs 1080p at less than that (1.7GB/hour)

4Mbps x265 is even better, the quality is great, I'm a big fan of x265.

The DSTV stream is most likely H.265

DSTV Catch Up on the Explora 2 uses x265, the stuff the devices auto downloads, that's why they could change to a 1TB HDD down from a 2TB on the Explora.

I highly doubt DSTV Now uses x265.

Blegh. Think I've found a limitation on the box
Downloaded a 30GB H264 file. Required data rate is about 50Mb/sec - the LIT doesn't cope with that over an SMB share (wired network)

I played larger files than 30GB and the lit played it fine via Kodi.

Played some 1080p DTS-MA HEVC 10 bit stuff last night. It seemed like the frame rate was very low.
Is that normal with HEVC? (Wasn't a network bandwidth constraint, kodi had buffered about 20% of the file

I play my video files via kodi. I thought the lit does not do DTS-MA. I have that option turned off in kodi. If i turn it on, it stutters and losses sound, then switches back etc

I'm sure I tried this and it was perfect :

(I don't have a box now, so can't test it)
