Anyone else keep getting the Google play channel pop up when they switch on there box? I keep disabling it in the customize channel menu!?

If the app you are using on your phone supports Chromecast, then yes, easy, and it works.

Hey guys on the B10 remote are 3 buttons YouTube, Netflix and Google play. Is there a way to reprogram them. I.e. Google play I never use.

Is there an alternative remote control? The remote that came with the box goes through batteries quickly. I literally have to replace them every few days.

Just got a sealed B10 off gumtree for R800 today. Enjoying dstv now since I don't have DStv.

I've noticed the device can hang when resuming from sleep so I've turned sleep off and instead shutdown the device.

Anyone else notice this?

Nope. Inhave B05 and B10 but never noticed any hanging. Had B10 2 weeks now.

Couple of tips from my experiences tonight.

I normally download some shows to my phone and would cast them to the LIT box using an app called local cast, files were MP4.

But Latest shows I downloaded were MKV files and it wouldnt play using local cast.

To solve I used VLC, and was able to cast from there to the LIT box.

I've never actually tried but something cool I saw about Local Cast a while ago is you can change the audio output to your phone.

So you can cast video to your device and have your phone with headphones for the audio, for night time viewing etc.

A few people have experienced that video apps hang after running from sleep (discussed further back in the thread).

It's a schlep, but a full power-down instead of sleep mode does fix this.

Smartdns - BUT with that said you will need to run an older version of NETFLIX i.e. 4.x because the new version will check for proxies and thrown an error

I tried this a while ago and while it worked to watch US Netflix it slowed down my internet speed noticeably. In my instance however configured it on the pihole so this may be why, never bothered to investigate further.

Yeah i had it installed direct on a different TV Box and it was fine. But the LIT boxes are way to efficient wit updates LOL and not much i really am missing on the USA version. So i live without smartdns enabled
