So, what is the next best to the LIT without breaking the bank.
I bought a Mi box S which is sort of OK but very limited
I have seen others for 2k but also don't seem as crammed as the lit with optic out, 2 usb ports +, lan port etc

Well there is the Emantic box, if you are after ports, otherwise a Google Chromecast TV, which is much like an Amazon Fire TV stick 4K. Then there are the nVidia Shield devices, which are lot more dear.

But that standby thing is the best part of the update for me ... it just means it's always ready to go, and doesn't take AGES like it used to.

Is it faster than the standby option before the update?

(Before the update in settings you could choose what the power button do: sleep, shutdown or restart. Is this still available?)

Edit: I didn't do the update and not planning to either.

I just bought one of these mini keyboard remotes for my lit box since my original remote gone missing. All the keys function as expected, but I cant find any key that goes "BACK"! Tried "back", Esc, Del. None work. Any ideas?

Have the Rii version, wish I could help, further, I cannot find the power on/off button, luckily I still have the original remote.

Does it have a menu button? Can't access certain functions with LiT remote in certain apps

Can check when home, think it has a back button that works with most apps, not sure as I just use it to type URL's or an m3u link.

No menu button, but I have the keyboard and a mouse permanently connected to my LIT box.

i sometimes use the right mouse button on the left hand side, that works for me but my back button is working.. maybe after update not?

Just a question has all the tvb boxes finished updating? The one I have is still on atv 8. The model number is C1 if I look at the serial number.

Just send Nology a pm with the device serial and mac and they will push the update for you. Probably only next week though.

remote i am using is the MINI 2.4G WIRELESS KEYBOARD
i have tried the telkom remote that comes with the lit box

sorry if this has been asked before but how do you switch off this damn screen as i do not have a google assistant remote and every time i boot it comes up.
i have tried a program to autorun straight to Kodi but this still comes up and when i push the left hand side right mouse button it goes away and straight into kodi
