Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Yes Telkom LIT box made by SDMC, Tested this on all 3 of my Lit Boxes.
This is what i have done:

So after kodi 19 is installed with the Netflix add-on successfully installed go to the Netflix add-on open it up
Go to add-on settings
Change to Expert mode
Go down to Expert
Scroll to ESN / Widevine settings and open
Click reset and the ESN will appear
Click on Change ESN
Change the NFANDROID2 to NFANDROID1 leave the rest and click OK
Make sure Widevine is on Disabled this will leave it on L1
Click Apply changes
and ok

Try playing a video on the add-on
My Kodi doesn't have Netflix add on. How can I get the Netflix add on?

It's plasticy, but after 6 months of being dropped and abused, still like brand new and functions without hitch.

Also, Google sell the remotes separately of you need to replace them.

I am intrigued with this, showmax and dstv now working on the chromecast ?

These are pretty decent
Other option with an ethernet port is the mediabox maverick.

Thank you so much for the Kodi add on fix. Saved having to buy a new box for R1300. Works perfectly, even accepted username and password login, so no need for auth key fix

Cudos to the Devs at kodi and CastagnaIT for their development work they have done to make it possible.

Not sure if the rom will work, the issue when loading a non OEM rom will most probably result in the device losing its Google certification and dstv now will stop working and probably amazon prime to.

Never really used dstv now, so not worried about that.

Google Certification is a thing.
Yes for ATV os devices. Most non Google certified OTT boxes make use of a modified mobile version of Android with a ATV boot loader.

It's only recently people managed to build ATV roms, but because they are not Google certified they don't have DRM and most reputable video streaming applications looks for DRM in order to try and prevent piracy.

A few years back we wanted to market our own OTT box and had to apply for Google certification before we could have access to the ATV dev kit. This registration process is tedious and timely and you send them your device so they can test it unless the already know the Manufacturer.

After that's done then you have to jump through some serious hoops to get your device certified by Netflix and apply for a lisence with them.

Thats the main reason why apps like; unmodified dstv now and Netflix wont work on non Google certified devices and most ATV apps is not available through the playstore and has to be side loaded.
