Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

You will have to sideload.

I downloaded the APK from geekbench website and installed only to see Aptoide popping up during install saying it's running an update on Aptoide? The file is named "geekbench.apk and downloaded from Geekbench website, why on earth does it seem to install Aptoide or rather what seems to be an update to Aptoide? *confused*
Not sure if it's a mislabeled file or sneakily renamed with other intentions...
I checked the Apps in system settings and see Aptoid is listed as a system app. Hmm.

Then I tried to d/l from APKPure, but they don't have normal APK for Geekbench. Only the XAPK version which is not as easy to install. Not sure how to install XAPK on Android TV. Normally you need another app to assist with installation. Meh.
 
I use apk install from the playstore not sir if xapk will work though
 
Hi, how do you setup the android remote app ( phone ) to work.
I have the app installed on my phone,
It is connected to the LIT Bluetooth
Phone and LIT are on the same Wi-Fi network
i cannot get a connection via the app

On the box go to settings and find the installed apps, have it show system apps and then find the remote app and uninstall updates then try again.

Stock ESN reads : NFANDROID2-***-******-*****-****=***-****-

Edit it by changing the "NFANDROID2" to "NFANDROID1" so it looks like this:

good day good folk on the forum... i have had the lit box for a number of years (tvb-100) very happily ..i dont do netflix so when they added and now removed it, it has not worried me too much. so my one remote croaked ..i have downloaded a number of blue tooth type remotes onto phone and found a few that work. only issue is via kodi on the box my usb ports (hard drive) do not seem to be navigable..ie i cant access my drive ..any ideas or tricks /tips to make the usb drives work or a relatively cheap 3rd part remote i can purchase that works (i am hesitant to just buy a remote in the mall on some dudes assertion that it may work)... if i had to pay a 1000 bucks for a remote i may as well then buy a new box i guess...despite my quite loving the lit boxes i have

Have you tried Android TV app by Google? That has a full trackpad function, so you can navigate anywhere you could with the remote.

hi i find update on google movies give movy and tv but i find no mouse on it,,where should i be looking?

i have installed it and it works but like you said needs wife ..unfortuntely wwith my 2nd box no wifi only hotspot to phone or bluetooth ..but works great and could run with 2 different remotes..ie 1 for box and 1 for kodi..thanks
