Why not give us same firmware as ematic, aren't they essentially the same?
 
Wouldn't it then have Netflix ESN that would work

No, it wouldn't work.
1. The Ematic and LIT aren't identical
2. The Ematic firmware simply can't be flashed to the LIT due to the firmware signature check performed by the unit.
3. The ECN is based on the MAC address of the WiFi card.

I got my update today, I just had to go to the System Settings and trigger a manual search for updates. Lucky me I guess. Now at least that annoying Netflix icon can disappear lol.
 
From the looks of things, Netflix isn't returning to the LIT Box. I guess I better start saving for Explora Ultra.

You can buy an Ematic AGT419. It is supported by Netflix and won't lose Netflix support since it is done at the manufacturer level.

Saw the update when I switched my device on. Thought I will now be able to sideload Netflix and cast also.

While the update installed I read this thread and saw "no Netflix" is still a thing and worse I read here that my box is factory reset too.

Now I have to setup everything again, lost shutdown (Android 8) and direct boot to ATV Launcher (now loaded after Google homescreen)!
