Telkom LTE Advanced tested in Parkview

Whoever lives in 'The Parks' are seriously spoilt for choice. Must be some Big Kahuna's living there - falling over each other trying to out-do each other with High-Speed Internet access. What's wrong with The 'Vale or Bedfordview?

If you read on this forum you will see there isn't any big kahunas living there. The community did the right thing and got involved with getting the services there.

Most South African people are just too lazy or afraid to ask for something and instead just bleet from the safety of the internet.

But kudos to Telkom. We are getting this at the same time as the first world.

That price for LTE is not bad/unreasonable, but yea a 3 year contract.... I'll rather not those bloaks are shifty 1 year down and all a sudden your speed drops

Being Telkom, is there a requirement to pay for a POTS equivalent on LTE which you don't use?
:)

Awesome. Blow through your cap in 5 hours. Ad thats not even at 112mpbs thats at the reduced 47mpbs.

What. Is. The. Point?

Who still signs off their life for internet? 3 years my ...

R1,399 per month for 36 months = R50364

Think about that for a second... R50K for intertubes. :wtf:

...and it cooks.

Is that even and expression in English? :erm:

On the deal: before signing up, consider what the equivalent would have been 36 months ago, or even two years. 20GB @ 2 Mb/s ADSL? Would you still want to be paying R1000 for that now?

We've seen it all before...

"Telkom out in full force", "It cooks"... May as well have used words like "Much internet", "Such telkom, wow!"
...but we all know they suck, and once some gullibles have signed up for 3 years the service and speed and contention ratios will fall back down to the sucky service and product which is Telscum.

I'm surprised to see the advice to not sign a contract in this puff-piece, but I second that - so stay away people, this is not worth it.
