hmmm where am i...
I have 5 devices that connect to the B593 LTE router, does anybody know if there is a way of me getting daily usage stats either on the router or Telkom?
I don't want to have to install usage software on each device.
If i can pinpoint the high usage days i can more than likely pinpoint what is gobbling up my data ... i have a suspicion it is Skype ...

I had the same problem. Blew through my cap beginning of the month and i have no idea on what. Only way i could monitor was by installing software on everything and now i also disconnect my pc from my router when i don't need to be online.

+1. Alternatively you can install an app on your phone called "My data Manager" monitors all traffic WI-FI CELLULAR data gives an indication which app is using the most data. FOR PC I would highly recommend Bandwidth Manager Pro.

My android phone is running lollipop which has quite a good data manager which allows you too see which apps have been using data and how much.

I will take a look at "Bandwidth Manager Pro" but i really wish the router had logging on it to allow me to see data usage per day per mac address connecting to the router.

The B593 allows for 4 SSIDs to be created and you can monitor how much data each SSID has transferred - you have 5 devices, so you would have to let 2 of the 5 share one SSID and the rest can have their own SSID

Awesome solution, which I used successfully while evaluating a friend's B593 and the Telkom LTE service, it was the reason I went ahead and ordered a service from them too.

Today my B315 (new and improved!) model Huawei router arrived and I set it up. I'm so bitterly disappointed as this better model which replaced the B593 no longer offers any of the detailed usage statistics the old one provided!

Bottom line, I can only see TOTAL bandwidth consumed (since the last reset) and TOTAL bandwidth since the last connection.

It doesn't show current in/out traffic
It doesn't differentiate in the totals between inbound/outbound
Has no daily/weekly breakdowns
Does not report a total per Ethernet port or per SSID

Why would they move backwards on the software feature set?

I checked for an updated firmware, but it says I'm running the latest.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I wouldn't trust the router telling me it has the latest FW - rather google a bit

Yeah, that was my first thought too, unfortunately Huawei have done a great job of hiding their firmware details on the interwebs! Could not find any driver download option except for one referencing a date from August last year

http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/smart-home/b315-en.htm

Doesn't given any details or version of the firmware.

Does anyone else have this router and willing to share their version number with me? My version is: 21.311.03.01.372

21.311.03.00.1232 original from Cell C
The same limitations.
