Telkom LTE Problems - 06 December 2016

Good day, are there any other forum readers that are experiencing problems with Telkom's LTE service in the KZN area? I am getting speeds of 5Mbps, yet I plug in MTN and it works fine.

Working fine, however, inbound international connections on LTE do not work...

Big problems here on the South Coast.
Can only connect to Google all other search engines just keep trying to connect, most of the SA sites
are doing the same, was surprised when I managed to get into here. Reported to Telkom but not holding
my breath also no whatsapp.
I have no problem sending or receiving mail, I am connected via LAN, my Phone is wifi with all the same probs.

Same here in Durban. Local sites seem fine, but anything international and the packets seem to disappear after a few hops:

Google has a local hub in ZA, so it will work fine. But ja, international is stuffed.

Seems to working sporadically but I have my LTE load balanced with Afrihost adsl.

I noticed a significant change on a traceroute:

ipc-aggr-2.east.dsl.telkomsa.net

Normally it passes through server that has 8ta. in its name.

Has telkom made the change to run its LTE traffic over the same network as ADSL?

Yes they are transferring via Telkom internet now..

Im in dbn north area.. no speed issues experienced., getting around 30 to 35 Mb/s speeds... make sure u connecting to the 2300Mhz network..

I also stay in Hartbeespoort and LTE is horrible! They sent a technician eventually and all he did was measure the signal strength and do a speed test.

Can you please explain how to connect to the 2300Mhz network? I have the Huawei B315 LTE router, I do not see any options to change or even see which frequency I am currently on.

ive tried the afrihost clienzone and techcrunch and initially they failed. now they seem to be working - its almost like the Telkom techs are manually updating as they go a along?
