Telkom LTE Sim Activation

Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone can help me, I received my Huawei E5186s-61a LTE Router and Sim yesterday morning. Its been about 24 hours since I received it but the sim still seems to be inactive. Any help would be much appreciated.
 
I would suggest take it (sim) and your rica docs to a telkom mobile store. Probably the easiest?
 
Got an LTE router and sim was activated immediately...
Then got a phone from them and it took over 24 hours.

I'd say just keep trying a while longer and remember to restart the device.
It won't just start working.
 
This is probably the dumbiest question but when you apply with Telkom and they ask for all your documentation do they not RICA for you?

When my router was delivered, the courierIT guy took copies of the rica docs to submit to Telkom.
 
I got hold of the Customer Care and they asked for the sim ICCID and the Routers IMEI but still no joy as I'm still waiting for someone from Telkom to contact me back, any other suggestions guys?
 
Note regarding RICA Agents: some delivery guys are RICA agents so they can merely look at your documentation without needing to take them in. Those that take them are not necessarily. (I am a "backdoor" RICA agent).

Activation takes 24 hours. You can probably call 081 180 if you are still not active.
 
Seems there was (is) a massive crisis with the sales department, their systems went down for quite some time whilst the promotions on TV etc were hammering on, creating a huge backlog.

I got my stuff yesterday but really hoping the sim will be active by next week.
