Hi All

Which router is the best for Telkom LTE connectivity?

And will it be able to run off from 12V? (We have a solar panel + battery installation at home, want to hook it up to that).

The 500Gb night surfer deal still is the best bang for the buck so far.

When I had the Telkom LTE Uncapped Package, it came with the Huawei B315...
Not great Wi-Fi but otherwise wasen't bad.
You may want to consider finding a second hand one and pairing it with a XPOL006 antenna.

Get a huawei mifi E5776... supports the 2300Mhz lte band and is superfast.. been killing 100GB+ per night on that night surfer deal

it has its own battery. good for 8 hours and hook it up to power bank.. and you sorted

Last week Friday I bought ZTE router (I forgot the model number) I bought it R999 at edgars connect. It can connect up to 10 devices it's not bad I can downlond 2.2 gig movie within 5 minutes. I stay in a township so network is not that good, I'm sure in a city with good coverage it will be much more fast.

One more. For night surfing any LTE modem will do a job. B315s is powered 12V DC. Telkom sells B315s with lithium battery pack. So yes, it can be powered from lead-acid 12V battery as well.

MiFi devices are powered 5V and can be permanently attached to the USB charger, use whatever is convenient.
