Telkom may soon compete with DSTV

LOL Good luck to anyone who goes for this.
You'll pay throuhg you ahole... Wait 2 years for installation oh and wait you get a education channel :P

To be honest I'd choose Telkom over Multichoice any day.

I'd love to see their live video over their 3GB shaped package.

Watch out bwana, one of these so called news sites may quote you on that ;) The bwana would rather go fo telscum than nochoice :p

The SABC CEO also announced last night that they have submitted an application to be a DSTV competitor.

Had enough of Telkom for one lifetime thanks, I will pass.

Let em. Doesn't necessarily mean I like telkom though - in this case I just consider them the lesser of two evils but only by a hair.

Good move, sad to say that it is Telkom, but a company would need to pull out all the stops to compete on a content level with Multichoice. hate to say this, but as much as we hate Multichoice, they are still king of TV content in SA.

Education Channel - Children today we are going to teach you what competitions is....Its when one company rules the world woohaaahaaa!!!

Dammit guys we have to broadcast the truth not company values!!!!

ROFL ................. what a bunch of idiots! they can't even maintain there exchanges WTf?!!!!

Maybe the reason they implemented the local cap is so they can hog all the local bandwidth for their pay tv system.

How the hell can they compete when Telkom can't clear its massive backlogs. With DSTV you get the decoder, take it home, get your local tv dude to install the dish (if you haven't done it yourself) and voila. Up and running in 2 days max.

“Entry into the bouquet will be priced at a level that is favourable to the majority of South Africans,” Telkom said.
Mmmmmk. The majority of South Africans don't even have a bloody phone line so they're unaffected, aren't they.
