Telkom Mega 100WR Port Shaping

Does anyone know if the QoS shaper on the Mega 100WR actually works? I'm sick and tired of lagging my butt off when my brother starts surfing and so I want to try and prioritize the ports that I use for games.

the router is linux-based, so i'm sure it works if you configure it correctly...
