Telkom Mobile Down?

Very intermittent connectivity here. Been this way since Friday evening and it makes browsing pretty frustrating. Are there any reports of outages on the Telscum website?

WHich part of Durban North as I am also in "Durban North Area" and I have no international link it would seem. Reboots of modem dont help.

What makes me upset, they have some kind of national connection problem, and they just keep quiet about it. They do not give us some kind of time frame when this will be resolved. Since last week, the network is having issues. Signal varies up and down, at times strong signal still means no internet access. I'm in JHB and the network is crap, but just a week ago it was fine.

Connectivity restored in Bloemfontein - Have two separate fixed LTE connections.

Connectivity was intermittent through the day - Download speed back to around 40mbps.

I am however struggling to access any port forwarded services at both sites - Almost like the sim does not have an unrestricted APN. I can for instance not access IP cameras or NAS on forwarded ports.

Interestingly the port forwarded services are accessible when connecting from one Telkom LTE Sim to another Telkom TLE sim. However same port forwarded services are inaccessible from Vodacom and MTN.

Anybody experiencing the similar issues?

And in Jo'burg. All the **** with AUPs and whatnot aside, this has been a rock solid connection for 9 odd months. Now suddenly it falls over any time someone looks at their router wrong.

Not a happy camper right now. The past week has been ****e with frequent disconnects, high latency and crawling speeds.

Yet here we are paying them their monthly fee and we don't get so much as a 'sorry for the inconvenience' from them

I wonder what can be the cause of this national outages, it is one thing if your tower is damaged, but there is serious problems when the whole country drops their connections at the same time.

Telkom has been under siege of sabotage for the past few weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if someone puroposely chopped some fibre again

Gone completely tits in pinetown as well... even the cell network went dead for a while.

They need to figure this out and communicate out as well. The silence is unacceptable
